Check out this 51.5 million year-old fossil found in Wyoming. It is now featured at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. It belongs to a group of birds called the “rollers”, known for their amazing flying skills. With just a little bit of art including a realistic terrain and atmosphere, it now feels more alive and could almost pass for the famous Disney cartoon character, the Roadrunner! The bone in front is not a leg but a wing. These 1” thick polished blocks stand tall on flat surfaces and are made from a special casting method that makes them super clear, deep, and realistic. The image in the print is created by an artist using the Giclee process and has been enlarged for a great viewing experience. It’s a stunning piece that would make a great addition to any shelf, desk, or table!
